The Montessori Centre Les Pouces Verts is managed by the "Centre Montessori, Les Pouces Verts" a non-profit association (under the 1901 statute) which has existed since 1976 and whose mission is to manage educational and cultural centres for both children and adults.

Founded 30 years ago, it is an institution recognised by the French National Education Board but does not receive any grants from the State. It is therefore financed only through the school fees paid by parents who strongly believe in the Montessori method and in the Centre Montessori Les Pouces Verts. Because the centre is non-profit, fees are kept as low as possible to make the school financially accessible to as wide a range of families as possible.
